I’d make you coffee on a rainy day.
A fan narration of Augustus Waters’s letter to Peter Van Houten.
“I love being straightforward. Dangerously straightfoward, actually. I like sending risky text messages and turning up at someone’s house spontaneously. I like telling people that I love them and that they’re magical and that I’m really glad they exist. I love being honest, in the moment, when it’s there right in front of you. Because there will come a time when it’s not. And that’s weird and scary, but it’s the truth. It’s so important to let people know how you feel when you feel it, because nothing in life is certain. They might not always be around so you have to say what you need to when you can. There is nothing more beautiful than being desperate, and there is nothing more risky than pretending not to care. We’re not in control of everything that happens, but we are in control of what can happen before it’s too late.”
You had been right this entire time.
Don’t let it destroy you.
